Karbonn Rebel Price in India: Is Rs 11,999 the Best Deal? 1 Big Warning
Karbonn Rebel price in India is Rs 11,999 for a 7,000mAh battery, but it is 4G only. Here is who should buy it, who should wait and who should skip it.

The Karbonn Rebel price in India is Rs 11,999, with a 7,000mAh battery and Android 16 on a phone that has no 5G. Karbonn, a brand that left smartphones years ago, launched the Rebel and the Rebel Pro on 2 November.
Both phones go on sale on Amazon India on 4 November at 12 PM, according to Tech Times. The Rebel Pro costs Rs 12,499.
Here is what Karbonn has confirmed, what is still missing, and what we would do with Rs 12,000.
The Short Version
- Price: Rebel Rs 11,999, Rebel Pro Rs 12,499. Both have a printed MRP of Rs 14,999.
- Offer price: A Rs 1,000 bank offer brings them to Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,499, but that is not the standard price.
- Best bit: A 7,000mAh battery on the Rebel and Android 16 out of the box.
- Catch: Both are 4G only, on an old MediaTek Helio G81 chip.
- Not confirmed: Which banks qualify, and whether the separate Rebel 5G will cost more.
What Karbonn Launched
Karbonn is coming back to smartphones after years of making feature phones. It sells only on Amazon India this time, so there is no shop network to fall back on.
The two phones share a chip, software and build. They differ in battery, screen and camera.

The figures above come from Tech Times, and the prices and battery sizes match Gogi.
Karbonn Rebel Price in India: Is It Worth Rs 11,999?
On paper, the Rebel gives you a big battery for the money. 7,000mAh is rare under Rs 12,000, and the box includes a charger.
However, 18W charging is slow for a battery that size. Expect a long wait from empty to full.
The honest case for the Rebel is simple. It is a cheap phone that lasts, with clean software, a headphone jack and an IP64 splash rating. It is not a fast phone.
The Catch: No 5G
Both phones run on the MediaTek Helio G81, a 12nm chip with no 5G modem. That is the biggest problem.
Tech Times reports that 5G phones were 88 percent of India’s smartphone market in 2025, citing CMR India. Vivo, Realme and Motorola already sell 5G phones at this price.
One more thing to double-check. Aaj Tak reported the phones as 5G at Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,499.
Gogi and Tech Times both say the launched phones are 4G, and that a separate Rebel 5G is coming later. We trust the two that agree.
If you want 5G, look at the Redmi 17C 5G instead. For a sense of how this segment is priced, see how the Realme P4s Lite and the Galaxy A08 both launched at Rs 16,000 to Rs 18,500 without 5G.
Rebel or Rebel Pro?
Buy the Rebel unless you take photos or scroll a lot. It is Rs 500 cheaper and has a bigger battery.
The Pro adds a faster 120Hz screen, a brighter display at 720 nits, a 64MP camera and a 16MP selfie camera. It also has 128GB on the cheaper 4GB model. The base Rebel only has 64GB.
So the Pro makes sense if storage matters. Otherwise the Rebel wins on battery and price.
Software and Updates
Both phones ship with Android 16, which is newer than most phones at this price. Karbonn promises two years of Android upgrades and two years of security patches, per Tech Times.
That is fine, but not generous. Two years of patches means the phone is unsupported by late 2028.
Also, this is Karbonn’s first smartphone in years. Its update record is untested, so treat the promise as a promise.
Who Should Buy, Wait or Skip
Our position is plain.
Buy the Rebel if you want a second phone, a phone for a parent, or a cheap phone for calls, WhatsApp and videos. The battery is the reason to buy it.
Wait if you need a main phone for the next three years. The Rebel 5G is coming, and the price offer details are still missing. A few days of waiting costs nothing.
Skip it if you play games, shoot lots of video, or live in a city where 5G is already strong. The Helio G81 is old and 4G will age badly.
Quick Answers
What is the Karbonn Rebel price in India?
Rs 11,999 for the Rebel and Rs 12,499 for the Rebel Pro. A Rs 1,000 bank offer lowers both, but that is not the standard price.
Does the Karbonn Rebel have 5G?
No. Both launched phones are 4G only. A separate Rebel 5G is coming, with no price or date.
When is the sale?
4 November at 12 PM on Amazon India, according to Tech Times.
Is the battery really 7,000mAh?
Yes on the Rebel. The Rebel Pro has 6,000mAh.
The Bottom Line
The Karbonn Rebel is a battery phone at a fair price, held back by 4G and slow charging. Buy it as a backup phone. Do not buy it as your only phone for three years.
Still unknown: which banks get the Rs 1,000 offer, the front camera on the Rebel, real battery life, and the price of the Rebel 5G. Check the Amazon India page before you order.
