Xiaomi 17 at Rs 59,999 on Amazon: The Hidden Catch You Need to Know Now

The Xiaomi 17 Amazon sale price is out, and it is a big one. For the Great Indian Festival, Amazon lists the phone at Rs 59,999.

Some reports call that nearly 50% off. However, that figure uses an MRP of Rs 1,19,999, which nobody ever paid. The phone launched in March at Rs 89,999.

So the real cut is Rs 30,000, or about a third. That is still the best flagship deal of this sale. Below, we explain what the price includes, what is unclear, and who should buy.

Last updated 5 October 2026. We update this page as prices are confirmed.

The Short Version

  • Sale date: the Great Indian Festival begins on 8 October 2026.
  • Sale price: Rs 59,999, according to Amazon.
  • Launch price: Rs 89,999 for 12GB and 256GB, and Rs 99,999 for 512GB.
  • Real saving: Rs 30,000, or roughly 33%. It is not 50%.
  • Catch: the price seems to include a bank discount, and Amazon has not named the variant.
  • Our advice: buy it if you want a compact flagship. Check the variant first.

What Is the Xiaomi 17 Amazon Sale Price?

Amazon India has published its phone deals for the sale. Its own deals page lists the Xiaomi 17 at Rs 59,999.

In addition, the page mentions a flat Rs 3,000 bank discount and no-cost EMI for up to six months.

Digit backs up the number. It says the phone will sell for under Rs 59,999, including a credit card EMI offer and a coupon.

Therefore, Rs 59,999 looks like an effective price. In other words, you may need the right card to reach it.

Why the 50% Claim Is Misleading

Here is where the maths gets slippery. Telangana Today reports the phone as priced at Rs 1,19,999, with a discount of nearly 50%.

That higher figure is the MRP. We checked Amazon’s listing on 5 October, and it does show an MRP of Rs 1,19,999.

However, the same listing sells the phone at Rs 89,999 today. Nobody has paid the MRP.

The launch prices tell the true story. Beebom reported Rs 89,999 for the 256GB model and Rs 99,999 for the 512GB model in March.

So the honest saving is Rs 30,000 against the launch price. That works out to about 33%, which is a third.

To be fair, a third off a seven-month-old flagship is excellent. Still, you should know the real number before you get excited.

What the Price Includes, and What Is Unclear

Three things are still fuzzy. First, nobody has named the variant.

Amazon’s listing today shows the 12GB and 512GB model at Rs 89,999. If the sale price applies to that model, the deal is even better. However, neither Amazon nor Digit confirms this.

Second, the sources disagree on the offers. Amazon mentions a bank discount, while Digit mentions a card EMI offer and a coupon. Meanwhile, Telangana Today says its prices exclude bank offers.

Third, Amazon also runs a 10% instant discount on SBI cards during the sale. Whether that stacks on top of Rs 59,999 is not confirmed.

As a result, treat Rs 59,999 as the target price, not a guaranteed one. Check the final amount at checkout.

What You Get for the Money

The Xiaomi 17 is a compact flagship, and those are rare. It has a 6.3-inch LTPO display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate.

Inside, it runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12GB of RAM. That was the top Android chip at launch.

The cameras are strong too. You get three 50MP rear cameras with Leica lenses, including a telephoto, plus a 50MP selfie camera.

Battery life should also be good. FoneArena lists a 6,330mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, plus an IP68 rating.

The phone shipped with HyperOS 3 on Android 16. It is also on Xiaomi’s list for the next version, as our HyperOS 4 guide explains.

How It Compares With Other Sale Deals

This is where the Xiaomi 17 stands out. Most flagship deals in this sale are far smaller.

For example, the OnePlus 15 drops to an effective Rs 81,999. As we explained, the OnePlus 15 sale price is still above its launch price.

Similarly, Amazon lists the Galaxy S25 Ultra at Rs 84,999 with a coupon. We covered that Galaxy S25 Ultra deal last week.

So the Xiaomi 17 costs Rs 22,000 less than the OnePlus 15, and both are current flagships. On paper, nothing else in the sale comes close.

Is It Worth Buying?

Buy it if you want a small, powerful phone with a real telephoto camera. At Rs 59,999, it undercuts every rival flagship.

Check first if you are comparing variants. Make sure you know whether you are getting 256GB or 512GB before you pay.

Wait if you want the newest Xiaomi. The company has confirmed the Xiaomi 18 Pro India launch, though it has not given a date. That phone is expected to cost far more.

Also, think about software. In our view, HyperOS feels busier than the software on a Pixel. If that bothers you, look elsewhere.

Quick Answers

Amazon lists it at Rs 59,999. That appears to include a bank or card offer.

Is the Xiaomi 17 really 50% off?

No. The 50% figure uses the Rs 1,19,999 MRP. Against the Rs 89,999 launch price, the cut is about 33%.

When does the sale start?

The Amazon Great Indian Festival begins on 8 October 2026.

The Bottom Line

The Xiaomi 17 Amazon sale price is the strongest flagship deal we have seen this season. Rs 30,000 off a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone is rare, even if it is not the 50% some headlines claim.

Still, some things are unknown. We don’t know the exact variant, the full list of eligible cards, or how long stock will last. We also cannot confirm if the SBI discount stacks.

So here is our advice. If you want this phone, be ready on 8 October, and check the checkout price before you pay.
