Lava Aura Curve Price in India Is Rs 23,999: New Name, Old Phone, 1 Money Warning
The Lava Aura Curve price in India is Rs 23,999, sold only in shops. It is the Virat Curve renamed. Here is who should buy it and who should skip it.

Lava launched the Aura Curve 5G in India on 21 October. The Lava Aura Curve price in India is Rs 23,999 for its only model, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, according to BusinessToday.
There is a catch, though. It is reportedly not a new phone at all. The Mobile Indian calls it a rebranded Lava Virat Curve 5G, which went on sale on Flipkart less than a month ago.
So below, we cover the price, what the two names share, and the rival that gives you more for the same money. Then we tell you plainly what we would do.
The Short Version
- Price: Rs 23,999 for 6GB + 128GB. There is no other model.
- Where: Lava’s offline shops only. Lava has not announced launch offers or a sale date.
- Same phone: The specs match the Virat Curve 5G, which Flipkart also sells for Rs 23,999.
- Missed deal: The Virat Curve’s first sale price was Rs 19,999 with bank offers. That price has gone.
- Our view: Buy it only if a shop takes at least Rs 2,000 off. Otherwise, the Infinix Hot 70 Pro is the better buy.
Lava Aura Curve Price in India and Where to Buy It
Lava sells the Aura Curve through its own retail network, not online. That suits buyers who want to hold a phone before paying, and who like a shop to go back to.
The colours are Ambar Blue and Him Silver. BusinessToday and The Mobile Indian both list the same two.
However, Lava has not announced any launch offer. So the shop price is the full Rs 23,999 unless your local store cuts it.
Is It the Same Phone as the Lava Virat Curve?
Yes, it appears so, as far as every published spec shows. The Mobile Indian says plainly that the two are “the same phones”, and lists no differences.
The spec sheets back that up. Both use the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chip, 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Both have a 6,000mAh battery and a 184g body.
Even the price matches. FoneArena’s launch report put the Virat Curve at Rs 23,999 for the same 6GB + 128GB model.
Only the names and colours differ. The Virat Curve came in Heritage Indigo and Makrana Ivory, while the Aura Curve comes in blue and silver.
The Rs 4,000 You Already Missed
When the Virat Curve went on sale on 28 September, it cost less. Beebom reported a first-sale price of Rs 19,999, which included a Rs 1,000 card discount.
That offer has ended. As of 22 October, Smartprix lists the Virat Curve at Rs 23,999 on Flipkart. It also notes that the price rose by Rs 1,772 in the past month.
In other words, the same hardware has cost Rs 4,000 less this autumn. That is why we would not pay full price for it today.
Specs: What Rs 23,999 Gets You
Here is the hardware, taken from BusinessToday and checked against FoneArena’s Virat Curve listing.
- Display: 6.67-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED, 120Hz, 1,100 nits peak brightness
- Rear mini display: Shows alerts, battery status and music controls
- Chip: MediaTek Dimensity 7100, 6nm, up to 2.4GHz
- Rear camera: One 50MP Sony IMX752 sensor, with 2K video
- Front camera: 13MP
- Battery: 6,000mAh, 45W support, but a 33W charger in the box
- Build: IP64 splash resistance, MIL-STD-810H rating, vegan leather back
- Software: Android 16, two OS upgrades, three years of security updates
The curved AMOLED screen is the main draw. Few phones at this price have one. The rear mini display is a nice extra, too, though it is a gimmick rather than a reason to buy.
On the other hand, the camera setup is thin. There is one useful rear lens, with no ultra-wide. Also, IP64 means splash resistance, not a dunk in water.
Lava Aura Curve vs Infinix Hot 70 Pro
The obvious rival uses the very same chip. FoneArena lists the Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G at Rs 24,999 at launch for 6GB + 128GB. Smartprix showed it at Rs 23,999 on 22 October.
Lava Aura Curve | Infinix Hot 70 Pro | |
|---|---|---|
Price | Rs 23,999 | Rs 24,999 at launch |
Chip | Dimensity 7100 | Dimensity 7100 |
Screen | 6.67-inch curved AMOLED, 120Hz | 6.76-inch flat LCD, 144Hz |
Main camera | 50MP Sony IMX752 | 50MP Sony IMX882 |
Battery | 6,000mAh, 45W | 6,000mAh, 45W |
Water rating | IP64 | IP68 |
Updates | 2 OS, 3 years security | 3 OS, 5 years security |
Where to buy | Lava shops only | Flipkart and Infinix online |
The Lava wins on one thing that matters: the AMOLED screen. It shows deeper blacks and usually looks better than an LCD.
Meanwhile, the Infinix wins on almost everything else. It has the stronger water rating, a better camera sensor, and two more years of security updates. For a phone you may keep for four years, that last point counts.
Who Should Buy It, Wait or Skip It
Buy the Aura Curve if you only buy from shops, you want an AMOLED screen, and the store will knock at least Rs 2,000 off. At around Rs 21,999, it is a fair deal.
Wait if you are happy to buy online and you want this exact phone. The Virat Curve has already sold for Rs 19,999 once, so another Flipkart offer is likely. That is our guess, not a promise.
Skip it if you plan to keep your phone for four years or more. In that case, the Infinix Hot 70 Pro gives you longer updates and IP68 for roughly the same money.
Here is what we would do. We would buy the Infinix Hot 70 Pro, unless an AMOLED screen is the one thing you will not give up.

Quick Answers
Is the Lava Aura Curve the same as the Virat Curve?
Every published spec matches, from the chip to the 184g weight. Only the name, colours and where you buy it differ.
Can you buy the Lava Aura Curve online?
No. Lava sells it only through offline shops. For the same phone online, look for the Virat Curve on Flipkart.
Does the Lava Aura Curve come with a fast charger?
Partly. The phone supports 45W charging, but the box holds a 33W charger. You need to buy a faster one separately.
Is the Lava Aura Curve waterproof?
No. It is rated IP64, which covers dust and splashes. It is not built to survive going underwater.
The Bottom Line
The Lava Aura Curve is a decent phone with a curved AMOLED screen and a big battery. However, it is not new, and Rs 23,999 is the full price for hardware that has sold for Rs 19,999.
Some things are still unknown. Lava has not shared a sale date, any launch offer, or whether the Aura Curve gets the same software updates on the same dates as the Virat Curve.
Until a shop offers a real discount, our advice is simple. Buy the Infinix Hot 70 Pro for the longer updates, or wait for the next Virat Curve deal online.
