According to Zoutons, the iPhone 17’s figure breaks down like this. First, the sale price is Rs 84,999. Then you take off Rs 2,000 with an ICICI or Axis credit card, and up to Rs 3,000 as an exchange bonus.

However, The Tech Outlook says Flipkart’s page does not spell out which offers are included. So treat the breakdown as likely, and check the final checkout price on the day.

The Price Hike Nobody Mentions

Here is the part the sale banners leave out. Apple raised iPhone prices in India right after its September event, where it launched the iPhone 18 Pro.

According to IBTimes India, the iPhone 17 with 256GB went from Rs 82,900 to Rs 99,900. The 512GB model rose by Rs 22,000, from Rs 1,02,900 to Rs 1,24,900.

We checked Apple’s India store on 28 September, and it confirms Rs 99,900 for 256GB and Rs 1,24,900 for 512GB.

In other words, the “discount” is mostly Apple’s own hike being taken back. Compared with what the iPhone 17 cost at launch, you save Rs 2,900, and only if you meet the offer conditions.

Why Apple Raised Prices

Besides, Apple is not alone. Samsung recently raised Galaxy S26 prices in India by Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000.

Still, Apple’s move is unusual. Older iPhones usually get cheaper when new models arrive. This year, the iPhone 17 got more expensive instead.
