1. OnePlus 15
Battery life: 30 hours 6 minutes of web browsing
The OnePlus 15 is the clear winner here.
Its huge 7,300 mAh battery immediately gives it an advantage, but the impressive part is how much endurance it manages to get from that battery.
In PhoneArena’s testing, the OnePlus 15 lasted 30 hours and 6 minutes while browsing the web. It also managed 12 hours and 37 minutes of video playback and an impressive 14 hours and 16 minutes of gaming.
That last number is particularly interesting for gamers.
A lot of phones can survive a full day of normal use, but gaming is where battery life usually takes a serious hit. The OnePlus 15 manages to hold up surprisingly well.
If you are the kind of person who watches YouTube on the train, scrolls Instagram throughout the day and plays games in the evening, this is probably the phone on this list that you would charge the least.

Battery life: 23 hours 36 minutes of web browsing
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is not far behind the OnePlus 15.
It comes with a 6,100 mAh battery and uses silicon-carbon battery technology. In testing, it reached 23 hours and 36 minutes of web browsing.
It also lasted 11 hours and 1 minute during video playback and 12 hours and 47 minutes while gaming.
Those are excellent numbers for a flagship phone.

So if you mostly browse, message, watch videos and use everyday apps, the Pixel 10 looks very good. Heavy gaming is a different story.

4. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Battery life: 20 hours 10 minutes of web browsing
Samsung has not gone crazy with battery capacity on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
It has a 5,000 mAh battery, which sounds fairly ordinary when you put it next to the 7,300 mAh battery inside the OnePlus 15.
Yet the S26 Ultra still managed 20 hours and 10 minutes of web browsing in PhoneArena’s test.
Video playback lasted almost 10 hours, while gaming came in at 11 hours and 49 minutes.
That makes the Galaxy S26 Ultra a pretty easy phone to recommend if you want a high-end Samsung without constantly worrying about battery percentage.
It is not the battery champion, but it is much more than good enough for most people.
Best for: Users who want a premium Samsung phone with strong all-day endurance.
5. iPhone 17 Pro Max
Battery life: 20 hours 9 minutes of web browsing
The iPhone 17 Pro Max finishes the list, but being fifth here is hardly a criticism.
Apple’s largest iPhone managed 20 hours and 9 minutes of web browsing in PhoneArena’s test. It also reached 9 hours and 37 minutes of video playback and 11 hours and 34 minutes of gaming.
What makes the result more interesting is that Apple does not compete purely by putting the biggest battery possible into the phone.
Instead, Apple’s control over its hardware and software helps it get a lot out of the battery it has.
So, if you are already an iPhone user and battery life is your biggest concern, the Pro Max is the obvious model to look at.
Best for: iPhone users who want the longest battery life Apple offers.
But can these phones really last 20 or 30 hours?
This is where you need to be careful with battery tests.
When you see a headline saying that a phone lasts 30 hours, it does not mean you can use Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, the camera and games continuously for 30 hours.
Battery tests are controlled experiments.
Web browsing is generally much less demanding than playing a graphics-heavy game. The same phone can therefore produce very different results depending on what you are doing.
For example, GPS navigation, mobile data, maximum brightness and gaming can drain your battery much faster than reading articles or sending messages.
Your battery life will also change depending on your network signal, screen brightness, refresh rate and how many apps are running in the background.
How long should you expect in everyday use?
For normal use, these phones should comfortably make it through a full day.
If you are a lighter user, you may be able to stretch some of them well into the second day.
Heavy users will see different results.
Someone spending several hours gaming or recording video can drain even a 7,000 mAh battery surprisingly quickly.
A realistic way to look at the rankings is this:

The processor, display and software all affect power consumption.
This is why looking only at the mAh number when buying a smartphone can be misleading.
Which smartphone has the best battery life?
