Is the Pixel 11 Pro Really Better Than the Pixel 11? The Truth You Need to Know

Pixel 11 Pro vs Pixel 11 with a Rs 38,800 gap on Flipkart. We compare price, screen, cameras and battery, then say who should buy, wait or skip.

The Pixel 11 Pro vs Pixel 11 choice looks simple on a spec sheet. The Pro has better cameras and a better screen, so it must be the better phone.

However, the price tells a different story. On Flipkart today, the Pro costs Rs 38,800 more than the regular Pixel 11 once you add the bank offers. That is more than half the price of the cheaper phone again.

We have not tested either phone ourselves. Therefore, this verdict rests on live Indian prices, official specs and lab tests from reviewers who have. Every number below links to its source.

Last updated 10 October 2026. Prices were checked on Flipkart on this date.

The Short Version

  • Our pick for most buyers: the regular Pixel 11 at Rs 72,199 with the bank offer.
  • Prices today: Pixel 11 Pro at Rs 1,10,999 with its bank offer. Pixel 11 at Rs 72,199 with its bank offer.
  • Speed and battery: the same. In lab tests, the two phones finished within minutes and points of each other.
  • What the Pro adds: a sharper, brighter screen and much better zoom, ultrawide and selfie cameras.
  • What it does not fix: slow charging, heat under load and weak gaming.
  • Buy the Pro only if photos are the main reason you want a Pixel.

Pixel 11 Pro vs Pixel 11: Price in India Today

First, the Pro. On 10 October, Flipkart listed the Pixel 11 Pro at Rs 1,19,999 for 12GB + 256GB. The 512GB model was Rs 1,34,999.

The same page showed a Rs 9,000 bank offer. As a result, the lowest price was Rs 1,10,999.

Next, the regular phone. Flipkart listed the Pixel 11 at Rs 89,999 for 12GB + 256GB. However, its bank offer was almost twice as big, at Rs 17,800 off.

So the Pixel 11 came down to Rs 72,199. Meanwhile, its 512GB model was Rs 99,999, which is Rs 5,000 under the launch price.

That changes the maths. On list prices, the gap is Rs 30,000. With both bank offers, it grows to Rs 38,800.

There is one caveat. The listings did not name the cards behind these offers when we checked. So treat both lower prices as a best case, and check your own card at checkout.

Why the Gap Is Wider Than Google Planned

Google set the two phones Rs 30,000 apart at launch. The discounts since then have not been equal, though.

The regular Pixel 11 has had the deeper cuts. It dropped to Rs 69,999 with an exchange in the festive sale, as our Pixel 11 Big Billion Days guide explains.

In contrast, the Pro has barely moved. Its Rs 9,000 bank offer today matches the cashback Google gave at launch in August.

In short, the cheaper phone keeps getting cheaper. The Pro does not.

The Numbers That Matter, Side by Side

Test results come from GSMArena’s lab reviews of both phones. Camera and screen specs come from Engadget’s comparison. Prices are for the 256GB models.

Look at the top half of that table. Then look at the bottom half. The split tells you everything.

What You Get on Both Phones

Start with what is the same, because it is most of the phone.

Both use the Tensor G6 chip with 12GB of RAM. In GSMArena’s benchmark tests, the Pro scored 7,415 in Geekbench’s multi-core test. The regular Pixel 11 scored 7,429. In other words, it is a tie.

Graphics are a tie as well. The Pro posted 3,452 on 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, and the regular phone posted 3,451. Only AnTuTu shows a gap, with the Pro about 6% ahead.

Battery life matches too. In GSMArena’s lab test, the Pro earned an active use score of 15 hours 38 minutes. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 scored 15 hours 40 minutes.

Charging is the same story. Both phones hit 59% in 30 minutes. The Pro needed 1 hour 20 minutes for a full charge, and the Pixel 11 needed 1 hour 19 minutes.

Finally, the software is identical. Both run Android 17, and both get seven years of updates. Both also have IP68 water resistance and 25W magnetic wireless charging.

So the extra money buys no speed, no battery life and no extra years of support.

Screen: Sharper and Brighter on the Pro

This is the first real upgrade. Both screens measure 6.3 inches, but the Pro packs in more pixels. It runs at 1280 x 2856, against 1080 x 2424 on the regular phone.

The Pro is also brighter. GSMArena measured 2,425 nits in auto mode, against 2,134 nits for the Pixel 11. That is about 14% more, which helps in harsh afternoon sun.

In addition, the Pro’s screen can slow down to 1Hz when nothing moves. The regular Pixel 11 only switches between 60Hz and 120Hz. A slower refresh rate saves power on a still screen.

However, that saving did not show up in the battery test. The two phones finished two minutes apart.

Is the regular screen bad, then? No. GSMArena lists a bright, sharp display among the Pixel 11’s strengths.

Cameras: The One Real Reason to Pay More

Here, the Pro earns its name. Every camera on it is a step up.

The zoom camera shows the biggest jump. Both phones offer 5x optical zoom. However, the Pro uses a 48MP sensor that is far larger than the 10.8MP one in the Pixel 11.

That matters in practice. GSMArena’s camera review found the Pro’s 5x photos very good in daylight, and sharp and detailed at night. In contrast, it says the regular Pixel 11’s zoom is not very sharp beyond 5x.

The ultrawide tells a similar story. On the Pro, it is 48MP with autofocus. On the Pixel 11, it is 13MP with fixed focus, which GSMArena counts as a weakness.

Selfies improve as well. The Pro has a 42MP front camera with autofocus, against 10.5MP on the regular phone.

Still, the Pro is not flawless. GSMArena found no good option for close-ups, because the zoom lens cannot focus nearer than 39cm. It also judged video stabilisation a notch below ideal when walking.

And the 8K video is not what it sounds like. The phone records in 4K. Then Google’s cloud upscales the clip to 8K later.

So how good is the regular camera? Good enough for most people. Its main sensor is smaller, yet GSMArena still rates its photos as solid. We covered it in our Pixel 11 review.

What the Pro Does Not Fix

This is the part Google’s launch page skips. At Rs 1,10,999, you would expect the weak spots to be gone. They are not.

Charging is still slow. Both phones are rated at 30W, and both need about 80 minutes to fill up. GSMArena calls that slow by today’s standards.

Heat is still a problem too. Smartprix’s reviewer used the Pro in India for about three weeks. He reports that it still heats up. In his stress test, the chip also fell to 55% of its top speed.

Gaming is the third gap. GSMArena says graphics performance has barely moved since last year. Therefore, neither Pixel suits heavy gamers.

Moreover, the Pro is 8g heavier at 205g.

GSMArena’s verdict is blunt. It praises the Pro as the best compact Pixel yet. However, it also says rivals offer better hardware for the same money.

Who Should Buy, Who Should Wait, Who Should Skip

Here is the verdict, and we will not sit on the fence.

Buy the regular Pixel 11 if you want a Pixel for the software, the updates and good everyday photos. At Rs 72,199, you get the same chip, the same battery life and the same seven years of support. You also keep Rs 38,800. For most buyers, this is the right phone.

Buy the Pixel 11 Pro if you zoom often, shoot wide group shots or take a lot of selfies. Those three cameras are clearly better, and no setting on the cheaper phone closes that gap. If photos are why you want a Pixel, the Pro is worth it.

Wait if you want the Pro but not at this price. Its bank offer has not grown since August, while the regular phone’s has doubled. We would call the Pro a fair deal at about Rs 1,00,000 without an exchange.

Skip the Pro if you were hoping for a faster phone. It is not one. The benchmark scores match, and so does the heat.

Skip both if you game heavily or need fast charging. Our Pixel 11 vs Galaxy S26 comparison covers a quicker rival at a lower price.

So is the Pixel 11 Pro really better? Yes, in the cameras and the screen. However, it is not Rs 38,800 better for most people.
