So the price no longer decides it for you. Instead, you have to pick between a faster, lighter Samsung and a Pixel with a longer zoom and a newer Android.
We have not tested either phone ourselves. Therefore, this verdict rests on live prices, official specs and lab tests from reviewers who have. Every number below links to its source.

Pixel 11 vs Galaxy S26: Price in India Today
First, the regular prices. On 6 October, Flipkart listed the Pixel 11 at Rs 89,999 for 256GB and Rs 1,04,999 for 512GB. No sale price was showing on the listing yet.
However, the sale price is already known. The Pixel 11 drops to Rs 69,999 in Big Billion Days, according to Digit. That figure stacks a Rs 12,000 bank discount, a Rs 6,000 exchange bonus and Rs 2,000 in SuperCoins.
Without an old phone to trade, you lose the exchange bonus. As a result, the Pixel 11 costs about Rs 75,999. That is our own maths, and we explain it in our Pixel 11 Big Billion Days guide.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 is simpler. Flipkart’s listing showed the 256GB model at Rs 74,999 on 6 October, struck down from Rs 87,999. The 512GB model stayed at Rs 1,07,999.
There is a twist, though. Samsung raised its own price for the Galaxy S26 to Rs 1,02,999 last month, as we covered in our Galaxy S26 price hike report. So the Flipkart deal is far better than buying from Samsung directly.
In short, the gap is tiny. With an exchange, the Pixel is Rs 5,000 cheaper. Without one, the Samsung is about Rs 1,000 cheaper.
The Numbers That Matter, Side by Side
Here is how the two compare on the things a buyer should care about. Specs come from GSMArena’s Pixel 11 page and Smartprix’s Galaxy S26 review. Test results come from GSMArena’s lab.

|—|—|—|
| Sale price, 256GB | Rs 69,999 with exchange | Rs 74,999 |
| Regular Flipkart price | Rs 89,999 | Rs 87,999 |
| Chip | Tensor G6 | Exynos 2600 |
| AnTuTu v11 score | 1,836,850 | 3,222,383 |
| Battery size | 4,985mAh | 4,300mAh |
| Active use score | 15h 40m | 15h 20m |
| Time to full charge | 1h 19m | 1h 04m |
| Wireless charging | 25W, magnetic | 15W |
| Main camera | 48MP | 50MP |
| Zoom camera | 10.8MP, 5x optical | 10MP, 3x optical |
| Weight | 197g | 167g |
| Update promise | 7 years | 7 years |
Both phones have a 6.3-inch screen, 12GB of RAM and an IP68 rating. Therefore, the real differences are speed, weight, zoom and charging.
Performance: A Clear Win for the Galaxy S26
This part is not close. In GSMArena’s benchmark tests, the Galaxy S26 with the Exynos 2600 scored 3,222,383 on AnTuTu. The Pixel 11 scored 1,836,850.
The graphics gap is even wider. On 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, the Samsung posted 7,230 against the Pixel’s 3,451. That is more than double.
For everyday use, you may never notice. Beebom’s reviewer found the Pixel 11 smooth for apps and multitasking over two weeks.
Games are another story, however. Beebom’s Pixel 11 review reports stutter and screen glitches in Genshin Impact. On the other hand, its Galaxy S26 review recorded 58 FPS in the same game at maximum settings.
So if you play demanding games, the choice is already made. Buy the Samsung.
Still, the Exynos chip is not perfect. Smartprix’s long-term review says the phone got noticeably warm when shooting photos in 40°C heat. That matters in an Indian summer.
Battery and Charging: Closer Than the Specs Suggest
On paper, the Pixel should win easily. It has a 4,985mAh battery, while the Galaxy S26 has 4,300mAh.
In the lab, though, the lead nearly vanishes. GSMArena’s battery test gave the Pixel 11 an active use score of 15 hours 40 minutes. The Galaxy S26 scored 15 hours 20 minutes in its own GSMArena review.
Indian reviewers lean slightly towards the Pixel. Beebom got about six hours of screen time from the Pixel 11. In contrast, it averaged 4.5 to 5 hours a day on the Galaxy S26.
Those figures come from different reviewers on different days. Because of that, treat them as a rough guide, not a direct race.
Charging flips the result. Despite its 25W label, the Galaxy S26 filled up in 1 hour 4 minutes in GSMArena’s test. The Pixel 11 took 1 hour 19 minutes with its 30W charging.
Wireless charging goes the other way. The Pixel supports 25W magnetic charging, so magnetic stands and power banks snap on. The Samsung stops at 15W and has no built-in magnets, Smartprix notes.
Overall, call battery a narrow Pixel win. Neither phone is slow enough or weak enough to rule out.
Cameras: The Pixel’s Zoom Is the Difference
Both phones carry three rear cameras. The main sensors are similar, at 48MP on the Pixel and 50MP on the Samsung.
However, the zoom camera is where they split. Google gives the Pixel 11 a 5x optical lens, while the Galaxy S26 stops at 3x. For concerts, cricket grounds and wildlife, 5x reaches noticeably further.
Still, GSMArena adds a caution. Its review calls the Pixel’s 5x useful but says the lens is not especially sharp. It also argues that 3x covers most everyday needs.
Samsung has its own weak spot. Smartprix points out that the Galaxy S26 camera hardware has barely changed since 2023. Beebom also found heavy noise from the telephoto at night.
Meanwhile, the Samsung wins on selfies and video tools. GSMArena lists its autofocus selfie camera and pro video features among the pros.
We have not shot with either phone. Based on the reviews above, though, the Pixel is the safer pick for photos. We went deeper on its camera in our Pixel 11 review.
Design and Software: Lighter Phone or Newer Android?
The Galaxy S26 weighs 167g, and the Pixel 11 weighs 197g. Thirty grams sounds small. In a pocket or during a long call, however, you feel it.
The Samsung screen is also smarter. It can drop from 120Hz to 1Hz to save power. The Pixel only switches between 60Hz and 120Hz.
On software, the Pixel 11 ships with Android 17. The Galaxy S26 launched on Android 16 with One UI 8.5.
Both brands promise seven years of updates. Still, the Pixel launched in August and the Samsung in March. So the Pixel’s support should run about five months longer.
In addition, Pixels usually get new Android versions first. If clean software matters to you, that counts.
Who Should Buy, Who Should Wait, Who Should Skip
Here is the verdict, and we will not sit on the fence.
Buy the Pixel 11 if you have an old phone to exchange and a supported bank card. At Rs 69,999, it is Rs 5,000 cheaper than the Samsung. You also get the longer zoom, the bigger battery and the newer Android.
Buy the Galaxy S26 if you play heavy games or want a lighter phone. Also pick it if you have nothing to trade in. At Rs 74,999 flat, it then undercuts the Pixel and runs far faster.
Wait if you own a Pixel 10 or a Galaxy S25. GSMArena says Pixel 10 owners have almost no reason to upgrade. Similarly, it calls the S26 a minimal step up from the S25. Our Galaxy S25 vs S26 comparison explains why.
Skip both if you miss the sale. At Rs 89,999 for the Pixel or Rs 1,02,999 from Samsung, neither phone earns its price. GSMArena itself calls the Pixel 11 hard to recommend at its regular price.
So is the Pixel 11 really better? For most buyers at Rs 69,999, yes. For gamers, no.
