Is the Pixel 11 Really Better Than the Pixel 10? The Truth You Need to Know
Pixel 11 vs Pixel 10 at just Rs 1,000 apart in the sale. We compare price, battery, speed and cameras, then say who should buy, wait or skip.

The Pixel 11 vs Pixel 10 question should be easy. One phone is a year older, so it should be much cheaper. In this sale, however, it is not.
Flipkart’s Big Billion Days puts the Pixel 11 at Rs 69,999 and the Pixel 10 at Rs 68,999. That is a gap of just Rs 1,000 between two generations.
We have not tested either phone ourselves. Therefore, this verdict rests on live prices, official specs and lab tests from reviewers who have. Every number below links to its source.

Pixel 11 vs Pixel 10: Price in India Today
First, the regular prices. On 7 October, Flipkart listed the Pixel 11 at Rs 89,999 for 256GB and Rs 1,04,999 for 512GB.
Meanwhile, Flipkart’s Pixel 10 listing showed Rs 75,999 for 256GB, struck down from Rs 79,999. A Rs 4,000 bank offer was also showing. So the Pixel 10 costs about Rs 71,999 today, by our maths.
Now the sale prices. The Pixel 11 drops to Rs 69,999 and the Pixel 10 to Rs 68,999, according to Digit.
However, the Pixel 11 price has conditions. It stacks a Rs 12,000 bank discount, a Rs 6,000 exchange bonus and Rs 2,000 in SuperCoins. Without an old phone to trade, you pay about Rs 75,999. We explain that maths in our Pixel 11 Big Billion Days guide.
In contrast, nobody has spelled out the conditions on the Pixel 10 price. Digit gives the figure but no breakdown. So treat Rs 68,999 as a best case too.
The Pixel 10 Has Been Cheaper Before
Here is the part the sale banners skip. The Pixel 10 sold for about Rs 66,500 on Amazon in August, Gizbot reported at the time.
As a result, the Big Billion Days price is not a record low. It is Rs 2,499 higher than a price you could get two months ago.
That changes the whole comparison. The Pixel 11 gets a real cut of Rs 20,000. The Pixel 10, on the other hand, gets a weaker deal than it had in August.
The Numbers That Matter, Side by Side
Specs come from GSMArena’s pages for the Pixel 11 and the Pixel 10. Test results come from GSMArena’s lab.

Both phones have the same 6.3-inch 120Hz screen, 12GB of RAM and the same body size. So the real differences are battery life, speed and one extra year of updates.
Battery: The Biggest Reason to Pick the Pixel 11
This is where the new phone pulls ahead. On paper, the two batteries are almost identical. The Pixel 11 has 4,985mAh, and the Pixel 10 has 4,970mAh.
In the lab, though, the result is very different. GSMArena’s battery test gave the Pixel 11 an active use score of 15 hours 40 minutes. The Pixel 10 scored 12 hours 8 minutes.
That is about 3.5 hours more from a battery only 15mAh bigger. Therefore, the gain comes from the more efficient Tensor G6 chip, not from a larger cell.
Charging is also a little quicker. The Pixel 11 filled up in 1 hour 19 minutes, while the Pixel 10 took 1 hour 32 minutes. Still, both are slow next to Chinese rivals.
Finally, wireless charging rises from 15W to 25W. Both phones have built-in magnets, so magnetic stands and power banks work on either.
Performance: Faster Apps, Same Gaming
The Tensor G6 is a real step up for everyday speed. In GSMArena’s benchmark tests, the Pixel 11 scored 1,836,850 on AnTuTu. The Pixel 10 scored 1,411,380, so the new phone is about 30% ahead.
Geekbench tells the same story. The Pixel 11 posted 7,429 in the multi-core test, against 5,857 for the Pixel 10.
Graphics are another matter, however. On 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, the Pixel 11 scored 3,451 and the Pixel 10 scored 3,232. GSMArena says GPU performance “barely moved”.
Heat control has not improved either. GSMArena found no real gain over last year in its throttling test.
So if you want a Pixel for heavy gaming, neither phone is the answer. For apps, the camera and multitasking, the Pixel 11 is clearly quicker.
Cameras: Closer Than You Would Expect
Do not buy the Pixel 11 for its cameras alone. The zoom and ultrawide cameras match the Pixel 10 on paper. Both phones carry a 10.8MP 5x zoom lens and a 13MP ultrawide.
Only the main camera changes. It stays at 48MP, but the sensor grows from 1/2.0-inch to 1/1.56-inch, GSMArena’s camera review notes. A bigger sensor gathers more light, which should help at night.
Even so, GSMArena calls it a modest upgrade. It rates night photos between good and very good, and it did not test the two phones side by side.
In short, the Pixel 10 still takes Pixel-quality photos. We covered the new camera in more depth in our Pixel 11 review.
Software and Updates: One Extra Year
Google promises seven Android upgrades for both phones. However, the clock started a year earlier for the Pixel 10.
The Pixel 10 launched on Android 16 in August 2025. The Pixel 11 launched on Android 17 in August 2026. As a result, the Pixel 11 should get one more Android version than the Pixel 10.
That matters most if you keep phones for a long time. If you upgrade every two years, on the other hand, you will never notice.
The design barely changes. Both phones measure the same, and the Pixel 11 is 7g lighter. GSMArena lists “minimal changes from Pixel 10” among its cons.
Who Should Buy, Who Should Wait, Who Should Skip
Here is the verdict, and we will not sit on the fence.
Buy the Pixel 11 if you have an old phone to exchange and a supported bank card. At Rs 69,999, it costs Rs 1,000 more than the Pixel 10. For that, you get 3.5 hours more battery, a faster chip and an extra year of updates. This is the easiest call in the sale.
Buy the Pixel 11 anyway if you have no exchange but plan to keep the phone for four years or more. The gap grows to about Rs 7,000. Even so, the battery and the longer support are worth it over that time.
Buy the Pixel 10 if Rs 70,000 is your hard limit and you have nothing to trade in. It is still a good phone with the same screen and zoom camera. Just know you are not getting a record price.
Wait if you want the Pixel 10 as a bargain. It sold for Rs 66,500 in August. So we would hold out for Rs 65,000 or less before calling it a deal.
Skip the upgrade if you already own a Pixel 10. GSMArena’s verdict says Pixel 10 owners have “almost no reason to upgrade”. We agree. Owners of a Pixel 8 or older will see a much bigger jump.
So is the Pixel 11 really better? Yes, and at these prices it is also the better deal. Last year the answer was closer, as our Pixel 10 vs Pixel 9 comparison showed.
Quick Answers
Which is cheaper in the sale, the Pixel 11 or the Pixel 10?
The Pixel 10 at Rs 68,999. However, the Pixel 11 is only Rs 1,000 more at Rs 69,999 if you exchange an old phone.
Is the Pixel 11 battery really better?
Yes. It scored 15 hours 40 minutes in GSMArena’s test, against 12 hours 8 minutes for the Pixel 10.
Are the cameras different?
Barely. The main sensor is bigger on the Pixel 11, but the zoom and ultrawide cameras match on paper.
Should Pixel 10 owners upgrade to the Pixel 11?
No. The design, screen and most cameras are the same, so the gains are too small to justify the cost.
The Bottom Line
In the Pixel 11 vs Pixel 10 contest, the sale has flipped the usual advice. Normally, last year’s phone is the value pick. This time, the new one is only Rs 1,000 more with an exchange, so buy the Pixel 11.
Several things are still not confirmed. Flipkart has not said which cards or conditions apply to the Pixel 10’s Rs 68,999 price. In addition, Amazon may undercut it, as it did in August.
Finally, sale stock is unknown, and prices can change on the day. Early access opens on 8 October, so check the final checkout total before you pay.
