Tipster Abhishek Yadav says the phone will launch in India on 6 October at 12 PM. Digit and BusinessToday both carry the date, and both say vivo has not confirmed it.

In addition, the same leak points to a global debut on 1 October. Meanwhile, the phone has been on sale in China since June.

The Specs That Matter

Fortunately, Digit and BusinessToday agree on most of the hardware:

• Inner screen: 8.02-inch AMOLED, 120Hz
• Cover screen: 6.51-inch AMOLED, 120Hz
• Rear cameras: 200MP main with OIS, 50MP periscope telephoto, 50MP ultra-wide
• Selfie cameras: 20MP on both screens
• Battery: 7,000mAh, with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging
• Software: OriginOS 7, based on Android 17

The India variants are reportedly 12GB with 256GB, and 12GB with 512GB. Both come in Prism Black and Nebula Teal.

The Catch: Less RAM for More Money

The X Fold 5 launched in India at Rs 1,49,999. GSMArena confirms that price bought you 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

However, the X Fold 6 reportedly drops to 12GB in both variants. So the 512GB model could cost the same as last year, or more, with 4GB less RAM.

To be fair, 12GB is plenty for most people. You will only miss the extra RAM if you keep dozens of apps open on the big screen.

The Price Clue From Europe

Android Headlines spotted the phone on Italian retailer Etpo. The 12GB and 512GB model was listed at €2,135.90.

Android Headlines expects the official price to be closer to €2,199.99. European prices usually include higher taxes, so do not convert that number straight into rupees.

Besides the price, the same listing gives some extra details. It says the phone weighs 230g, measures 9.9mm thick folded, and carries IP58 protection.

Leaks That Don’t Match

There are small gaps between reports. For example, the Etpo listing says 6,900mAh, while Digit says 7,000mAh. The lower number is likely the rated figure, but vivo has not said.

Similarly, Digit lists both IP58 and IP59, while the retailer only lists IP58. In short, wait for the official sheet before you trust the fine print.

How It Compares

At around Rs 1.5 lakh, the X Fold 6 sits in flagship foldable territory. However, it brings two things few rivals match: a 7,000mAh battery and a 200MP camera.

Compared with the X Fold 5, the new model looks like a clear step up on paper, apart from the RAM.
